Climate information displayed by TravelWeather describes places and long-term weather patterns. It is not personal information about individual visitors.

If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message, such as your email address and the contents of your inquiry. We use this information to respond, maintain a record of the correspondence, and address technical, legal, or service-related matters.

Audience characteristics
Where sufficient information is available, we may receive aggregated estimates concerning the general demographic characteristics of our audience.
This information is available only for eligible visitors. Reports may exclude or withhold information when there is not enough data to produce a sufficiently aggregated result.
The characteristics shown in these reports are estimates and may not accurately describe every visitor.
Analytics identifiers
Analytics technologies may use cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish browsers, visits, and interactions over time.
For eligible visitors, our analytics provider may associate site activity with information connected to signed-in users who have permitted that association through their account or privacy settings.
The analytics reports we receive are designed to describe usage patterns and audience groups. We do not receive visitors’ account identities, names, individual account activity, or detailed personal histories from unrelated websites or services.

We do not enable automatic collection of names, email addresses, telephone numbers, or other information visitors enter into forms for analytics purposes.
Browser storage
Some information may be stored locally in your browser rather than in a TravelWeather account.
This may include:
- Temperature unit
- Language
- Light or dark theme
- Recent destination searches
- Recent climate criteria
- Trip-style preferences
- Short-lived interface settings
You can delete this information by clearing site data for TravelWeather through your browser.
Because TravelWeather does not provide public user accounts, clearing browser storage does not delete an online TravelWeather profile.
Location and theme
TravelWeather may use device time zone and approximate location to estimate whether it is daytime or nighttime in your area and to select an automatic light or dark theme.
Approximate location may also be used to:
- Understand the geographic distribution of visitors
- Measure usage by country, region, or city
- Improve destination and language coverage
- Understand regional interest in particular destinations
- Diagnose regional performance or availability issues
You may override the automatic theme through the site’s theme controls.

- Assess how TravelWeather may reach relevant audiences in the future
We do not use analytics reports to determine the real-world identity of individual visitors.
Advertising
TravelWeather does not currently display personalized advertising or use analytics audiences to deliver personalized advertisements.
We may introduce advertising in the future. Advertising may initially be contextual, meaning that it is selected according to the page, destination, language, climate topic, or general subject being viewed rather than an individual visitor profile.
Before using analytics audiences for personalized advertising, we will update this policy within 90 days and introduce any additional disclosures or controls required by applicable law.
The presence of advertising-related capabilities within analytics software does not mean that TravelWeather is currently using visitor information for personalized advertising.
Legal bases for processing
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we may rely on:
- Legitimate interests, where permitted, to operate, secure, measure, understand, and improve the service.
- Performance of a requested service, where processing is necessary to provide results or functionality you request.
- Legal obligations, where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
- Consent, where applicable law requires consent for a particular technology or processing activity.
In jurisdictions where prior consent is legally required for particular analytics or advertising technologies, those features are restricted or disabled unless the required consent has been obtained.
International processing
TravelWeather and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws of your location.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on recognized contractual or legal transfer mechanisms.

How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, security monitoring, and limits on administrative access.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
